Our menus have been created to satisfy even the most discerning of taste buds, finely crafted from scratch by our Head Chef, David Kennedy. And with room for over 100 covers, we’ve got more room than ever before to welcome guests from all corners of the globe.

Our day and night menus combine the very best of seasonal, locally sourced produce from the farms, coasts and woodlands right here on our doorstep in the heart of the North East. Our dishes take on a modern, British approach combined with classic French technique – it’s what Mr Kennedy does best.

Amazing wines

All of our wines are handpicked by our sommelier and kitchen team. In need of a recommendation? Picpoul de Pinet is a particular house favourite; with a soft, delicate nose and pleasant hints of acacia and hawthorn blossom, it is produced from one of the oldest Languedoc grapes. Pre-theatre

at PTMY

Situated just a stone’s throw away from the Theatre Royal, we can’t think of a better place to enjoy a festive pre-theatre meal than at Pleased to Meet You. We’ve also tailored our menu so that you have ample time to savour a two course or three course dinner before heading off to a show. Our PreTheatre Menu is available between Monday to Friday until 7pm.
